HEALTHY NUTRITION AND ROUTINE

 

Today I want to talk to you about nutrition and routines.

If you follow me on my instagram profile by now you know that I like to follow a healthy lifestyle that makes me feel good physically and mentally. I don't like to define my nutrition as a diet but I prefer to call it a healthy lifestyle precisely because I don't feel it as an imposition, I don't feel that I'm missing something but I am always satisfied with what I eat.

How many diets have you done in your life in which you had to eat  always the same foods without ever changing, chicken, salad, eggs or a breakfast with simple jam with rusks. My program's approach is different, my girls do not have to be hungry, anxiously wait for the cheat meal to be able to eat junk food this is  because they follow a food guide that leads them to discover a healthy and long-lasting lifestyle.

When you will start to think that you are not only doing a weight loss diet but learning to eat well, you will love this lifestyle and the real change inside yourself will happen. It all has to start from your head first, you have to be the one who wants to change to feel good every time you eat. Every time I am tempted to eat junk foods I think first of all the sacrifices that I made and also about the feeling of swelling and discomfort that I will have after eating those foods because our body will no longer be used to it.

Think about what makes you feel good and make choices.

Another thing I would like to tell you about but which I will certainly spend more time on in another newsletter is the attitude to use when you go out to eat with friends or when your partner or husband or your family eats different things from yours. Here, do not feel wrong or guilty just because you eat different things from them, or if at the restaurant you ask that your food be cooked without oil. If the people you are eating with really love you and know you, they'll know that that is you, that what you eat makes you feel good. Having a dinner with friends is not based only on what you are eating but the pleasure of the company.

 

Returning to what we were talking about, I want to tell you about my experience with food and when my body really started to change.

A year ago I never thought I'd be able to organize myself so much and enjoy every single meal I have.

How do I organize my meal plan?

  • I write every meal of the day from breakfast to dinner based on my grams so I already know what to prepare for me and what to buy at the supermarket
  • The night before I always prepare breakfast in order to have everything ready and enjoy my breakfast in peace without looking for other foods. It usually takes about 30/40 minutes to eat my breakfast because it is my main meal, the most abundant and where I relax, eat calmly, savor every bite and dedicate myself to myself.
  • When I know I have some time, I prepare lunch to take to work which can be prepared the day before or even in the morning if you like to wake up early.
  • Once a week I try to cook as many vegetables as possible in order to have everything ready and portioned for the week.

     

    These are just small examples that I use in my routine to get organized. You have to find your method, your organization in such a way that you don't look for foods that won't make you feel good. Learn to eat right and you will see the real big changes on your body. The saying that "the abdominals are done at the table" is really true. You can train as much as you want but if you don't look after your nutrition you will never see real results.

    Change the idea that you are not on a diet but that what you eat is your lifestyle!
